Message from the Board President
November, 2007
Dear Friends,
We are entering the season of thankfulness and celebration.
For me, the spiritual practice of thankfulness is always a lovely surprise.
I find myself at times distracted with thoughts of things that aren’t the way that I would prefer them to be,
with anxious thoughts, and with awareness of the unpleasing things in my life.
And then I practice gratitude and turn to recognizing all the very many blessings in my life in general and in any specific situation.
My heart fills with a warmth and I experience a feeling of contentment.
This is really Unity 101: Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind.
I am grateful for the board of Unity Palo Alto and for all those who participate in the ministry, as we show up
for each other in many wondrous and sometimes surprising ways.
I want to ask those of you who would like to offer your gifts, talents and life experience to serve as a member of our board
to please step forward and make yourself known to one of us.
The first "requirement" is willingness, the second is commitment to be on the path of seeking meaning and understanding,
and the third is to be prepared to own and offer to others your special skills and talents.
With love and blessings,
Anne Schmitt President, Board of Trustees
