Asian Americans for Community Involvement
AACI's Domestic Violence Program offers a range of linguistically competent and culturally sensitive services to battered women
and their children and works with other organizations to create a network of support services.
These include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency food and clothing, individual and peer group counseling,
children's support group, case management, legal advocacy, and education for professionals and community groups.
Our gift goes to the Asian Women's Home, one of only a handful of Asian domestic violence centers in the country.
It will be used for much-need general maintenance and repairs on the shelter to make a more comfortable and home-like environment for the residents.

Community Services Agency
Community Services Agency is a non-profit organization that has been providing vital social services for 50 years for residents
of Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.
We provide a wide variety of safety net services so independence and self-sufficiency can be restored and maintained.
Senior Services helps seniors to maintain their independence, for example enable them to remain in their homes,
provides escorted transportation, and offers a senior nutrition program which includes education and socializing.
Services for the working poor, which help them continue to be productive members of society, can include food aid
and assistance for groceries, rent, and electric bills. We provide Emergency Assistance to provide vital resources to clients in crisis.
Alpha-Omega Homeless Services partners with other county service providers to reach, case manage and assist individuals and families.

Friends Outside
Since 1955, Friends Outside in Santa Clara County has provided quality, culturally relevant, accessible and timely assistance to families living in Santa Clara County
who have a spouse, child, or relative in custody; to prisoners incarcerated in the Santa Clara County jails; and to individuals who have recently been released.
Incarceration places the entire family at risk. The remaining spouse and children suffer shame, a sense of loss, and frequently family income is drastically reduced.
Necessities such as clothing, food and supplies are often beyond the reach of limited budgets.
There are 40,000 minor children in Santa Clara County who either now have or have had a parent in custody, and 9% of all children in California
will have a parent in custody during childhood.
The majority live in poverty and reside in high crime areas.
The Steps Ahead program served 525 families last year with home visitation, parent and family workshops, crisis intervention and resource linkages.
The Youth Program strives to break that cycle of intergenerational incarceration by providing a variety of programs and services that keep youth in school and out of trouble.
The Jail Services program provides services inside the County jails to help maintain links between prisoners and the outside world.

JobTrain
JobTrain (previously called OICW) is located on the Menlo Park-East Palo Alto border.
When people go to JobTrain for help they need to turn their lives around.
Our gift will benefit the programs for out-of-school youth to upgrade their skills or learn new ones.
JobTrain has served the community for 40 years and directly helped more than 100,000 people to create better lives
for themselves and their families. Programs combine vocational skills with academics, ESL, counseling,

Rotacare Mountain View Clinic
Rotacare clinics provide free medical care to people who have the most need and the least access to medical services.
Started by the Rotary Club in 1989, nine Bay Area clinics, run like urgent care centers, are open 2 evenings weekly.
Clinics are staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and interpreters/translators.
Clinics work in collaboration with a number of social service agencies in each community to provide follow-up and long-term care.
Almost half of the patients are children and over half of all patients are female.
Most patients work in low-paying jobs without health insurance, are unemployed, or are unable to afford care.
Clinic services include treating minor illnesses and injuries, referrals, managing chronic conditions, immunizations,
free medications, school physicals, and health education.
