After Service
Join us in the courtyard after each service and enjoy the fun, fellowship and food. Relax with your friends and help make newcomers feel the warmth and welcome that is Unity Palo Alto. With the joyful sounds of children, the fountain and music, take time to reflect on the Sunday lesson.
Each week our Hospitality team prepares and brings food for all to share after the services. If you would like to serve your ministry with your culinary talents one Sunday a month we invite you to contact Michael Clemons and join the Hospitality Team.
Social Groups
Auxiliary
The Unity Auxiliary is a social and service group that provides fellowship, plans activities that raise funds, and disburses these monies through church and community gifts not provided for in the church budget. We also provide various services for active auxiliary members at the time of their transition. Our group members are vibrant, fun-loving, generous and caring men and women. There are four luncheon meetings during the year. Membership is $10 for two years. Please check the bulletin and newsletter for details. You may also send email to auxiliary@unitypaloalto.org for further information.
Monday Night Out
This group honors and celebrates diversity at Unity Palo Alto by providing a welcoming and loving environment for LGBT, their families and friends. After 6 years, it is time to bring our regular monthly meetings to a close. Blessings and Thanks to all of our supporters and friends. Our core group is still available to anyone who would like support or help in planning a special event. Contact Lynette at monnightout@unitypaloalto.org.

Serving our ministry
Harmony Rock Unity Choir
Share your love of music and make new friends. This fun group performs at Sunday services about once a month including special church services at Christmas, Easter, and the Fall Program. Sight reading is not required; just bring your voice and join us! For information contact our choir director, Valerie Brown, at choir@unitypaloalto.org.
Valerie is founder and music director of Dominion a capella ensemble. She is a music minister, professional vocalist, arranger/composer, and producer. In addition to her work with Dominion, she sings with the Pacific Mozart Ensemble.
Hey Men
The Men of Unity group provides the opportunity to build friendships within Palo Alto Unity's male congregation and to help maintain the church and grounds. It is a church service organization assisting with fix-it items such as painting, light bulb replacement and other minor repairs. The third Sunday of each quarter is Men of Unity work day. We start at 1:00 PM and work for two hours or so. The Men of Unity group also has occasional fund raisers such as a Sunday Pancake Breakfast or a Games & Casino Night. Join us, we'd like to get to know you. Contact George Kuraitis at mensgroup@unitypaloalto.org.
youth
If you are in high school, you are invited to join the Youth of Unity (Y.O.U). We meet every Sunday at 11:00 in the Fireside room for a variety of lessons led in partnership with our sponsors. Sunday mornings include singing, sharing, laughing, meditating, and an occasional "walking lesson" to Philz Coffee! Outside of Sunday, we have many other activities throughout the year, including:
Movie nights — Enjoy an evening at church for pizza and a movie.
Outings — These have included a variety of fun activities such as beach parties. The monthly teen social nights have also included rock climbing and laser quest.
Service projects — One of the favorites is the annual holiday caroling and gift giving to the community.
Chapter Rallies — Overnight gatherings at the church or at someone's house are fun, social and spiritual.
Regional weekend gatherings — Larger gatherings of teens from around California and beyond, get together for spiritual growth, development of leadership skills, and connecting in an atmosphere of unconditional acceptance.
International conference — Each summer, hundreds of teens gather at Unity headquarters from various Unity churches, for a week of spiritual growth and connection.
Y.O.U. Sunday — Once a year our teen group organizes Sunday morning church services, including the music, meditation, and the Sunday lesson.
