Fall Enrichment Program

In The I of the Storm: Embracing Conflict, Creating Peace we learn to go beyond merely managing the conflict in our lives to actually embracing the conflict, allowing it to teach us what we otherwise might not learn. This process leads to peacemaking whether it be within ourselves, in our relationships, or as a result of outside circumstances.

The magic of this book is the way Dr. Simmons, in a very practical, reality based manner, discusses the challenges, temptations and hazards the world presents to us on a day-to-day basis that distracts us from our purpose here on Earth. He provides practical techniques and strategies, both spiritually and materially based, to help us avoid these hazards, allowing us to better align ourselves with our divine purpose and mission.

Our Fall Enrichment program is a 7-week, in-depth spiritual exploration of the book. Click here for more information and weekly recaps.

Fred Luskin, PhD, director of the Stanford Forgiveness Project and author of Forgive for Good, and Donatella Moltisanti, a globally-renown sound healer, present “Experience Forgiveness.” Dr. Luskin will open the event with a discussion of the principles and applications of forgiveness, then go on to share both scientific research and clinical anecdotes that reveal how the mind-body-spirit connection makes forgiveness a key part of overall wellness.

Following this presentation, Donatella will share how music can open the portal to and activate feelings of forgiveness – not only through guiding the listener into a profound state of relaxation and meditation, but also through inviting the listener back to the state of wholeness that existed prior to insult or injury. Donatella then will begin the experiential part of the event, guiding participants through a Moltisanti Soul Singing program – combining guided meditation with operatic vocalization and crystal singing bowls, opening the channels of forgiveness. At the end of this event, both facilitators will answer audience questions.
