Church Teams

Several working church teams are appointed by the Board of Trustees, with one member of the Board sitting on each team and serving as liaison. Current standing church teams are:

Bylaws and Policies Team

Board representative: Anne Schmitt

Facilities Team

This committee is responsible to provide regular assessment of the church’s physical plant and a maintenance schedule to insure safety and functionality along with project leadership in attaining this whether by outside services or volunteers.

Family Task Force

This special team’s mission is to represent Unity Palo Alto families and provide leadership in the development of programs to support those we have and attract others to the church.
Board Representatives: Ben Cooley and Richard Fallon

Finance Team

Its mission is to ensure the accuracy of the Church's financial reporting and to control expenditures within approved amounts.
Board representative: John Riley

Fundraising Team

This committee is responsible for helping the church meet its financial goals through special fund raising efforts each year year. Our main fundraiser is Pick-a-Party.

Marketing Team

Its mission is to communicate Unity principles to members and non-members of the church. This is done through press releases, email announcements, posters, flyers and postcards announcing our workshops, classes, guest speakers and special events. The goal is to build community and let everyone know the many ways they can get involved at Unity Palo Alto Community Church.

Nominating Team

This special church team is in charge of the search for qualified board members. The five members of this team consist of two elected members, one member of the Board of Trustees, and two appointed members.

Sharing Abundance Team

Its mission is to raise prosperity consciousness through shared abundance.
Board representatives: Howie Webber and Curt McKinney
